Hanoi [Vietnam], April 18: Sharing her feelings about participating in a feature film for the first time, MisThy said she didn't see it as a completely leading role. According to the streamer, the film has many character storylines, so the responsibility is shared among all the actors. "My role isn't entirely a leading role, but it's not exactly a supporting role either. Because of that, I feel less pressure. If I were playing a completely leading role, I would probably feel more anxious," the streamer expressed.
In the film, MisThy plays a Gen Z girl pursuing a career in wedding planning. The character is built with many similarities to her real-life personality. MisThy admits this was a deliberate choice, aimed at making it easier for her to portray the character when entering a completely new field. "I wanted my first role to be relatable to myself, because everything is a first time and also a step outside my comfort zone," she shared.
Regarding comments that she's bringing her streamer image into the film, MisThy stated that it's not a problem. "My personality in real life is the same as how I portray myself in the film. If viewers see a resemblance, they can understand that I'm choosing a natural acting style," MisThy said. The streamer also acknowledged that being "typecast" in a cheerful, positive image isn't necessarily a disadvantage, as it could become a strength, helping her be remembered for roles that suit her.
MisThy speaks out about the rumors.
Following the widespread social media speculation that MisThy paid money to secure the role , she frankly stated that this was merely people "joking" with each other and did not reflect the true nature of the story.
According to MisThy, "Song Hy Lam Nguy" (Double Happiness in Danger) was initially just a small project developed by the team. "We started with a small script, possibly developed as a short film. Then the project grew into a feature film. I was involved from the beginning, so when the project grew bigger, I continued to participate," she recounted.
