Hanoi [Vietnam], June 28: "Beautiful lady" Trang Phap left her mark at the "Riding the Wind 2026" final with an explosive performance and touching sharing about her journey to conquer the international stage.
On the evening of June 27th, the grand finale of the 2026 Wind Riding program (China) officially aired, featuring many prominent artists. Trang Phap , the only Vietnamese representative in the program, concluded her months-long journey with an energetic performance alongside her teammates, while also drawing attention with her heartfelt reflections on the pressure of representing Vietnamese artists on an international stage.
In the Knockout performance , Trang Phap, along with members Tang Bai Tu, An Ky, Ly Tam Khiet, Ham Thanh Tu, and Dam Dam, delivered a vibrant performance, scoring 905 points and ranking second. According to the production team, Trang Phap's dance break was one of the highlights that brought the performance to a climax. After completing the performance, she thanked the audience in Chinese, then continued to express her gratitude in English to the production team, artists, and fans who supported her throughout the competition.
One detail that garnered much attention was the sharing by group leader Tang Bai Tu about the team's name. The female artist said that besides the word "Ky" in An Ky's name, meaning "mountain," the names of the other members all contain the radical "Water," so the group chose the name "Son Thuy Huu Tuong Phung" (Mountains and Water Meet Again), hoping to convey the meaning of meeting and connecting the members and the audience as a special destiny.
Although she wasn't named in the official lineup, Trang Phap's journey was still highlighted by Mango TV in a summary video broadcast during the final night.
Trang Phap's touching letter before the final night.
Before the final night of the competition, Trang Phap moved her fans when she posted a long heartfelt letter on her fan page with over 1 million followers. The singer admitted that she entered the competition with a lot of pressure as the first winner of the " Beautiful Woman Riding the Wind " Vietnam competition.
"Both Trang's audience in Vietnam and new audiences in China have very high expectations of her. If she does well, perhaps everyone will take it for granted. But if she doesn't do well, she feels she will be judged much more harshly," she wrote.
Trang Phap said that when she went to China, she realized the scale and competitiveness of the program were completely different from the Vietnamese version. In a short time, the singer had to constantly reinvent herself and adapt to a high-intensity work environment. The singer shared that she felt scared, exhausted, and helpless thinking that she had disappointed her fans back home. However, what helped her keep moving forward was her never-give-up spirit.
"No matter how sad Trang gets, the fire within her always burns brightly the next morning. She keeps telling herself she has to try twice as hard, three times as hard, and do even better," the singer confided. According to Trang Phap, what she wants to prove is not the ranking, but the spirit of a champion who always strives to the very end.
Throughout her participation in the program, Trang Phap was one of the international artists who received a lot of attention on Chinese social media platforms . According to her team, the singer repeatedly topped search rankings on Weibo and appeared on trending charts on Douyin, Bilibili, Xiaohongshu, and Kuaishou, with over 200 keywords trending within about three months.
Prior to the final, Trang Phap's fan community in Vietnam and China also carried out various cheering activities, from advertisements on metro systems and buses to outdoor LED screens and pink-themed drone screens, creating a vibrant atmosphere before the final competition night.
Although she stopped short of becoming a member of the national team, Trang Phap's journey at the 2026 Wind Riding competition is still considered a memorable milestone in the singer's career, as she was the only international artist to participate and left a significant mark on the stage and social media in China.
