On April 23rd, Dr. Pham Minh Truong attracted attention when he spoke out directly in response to Trung Quan Idol 's apology post . In his statement, the husband of Dr. Nguyen Linh Thuy frankly emphasized that attacking women or vulnerable people under any circumstances is unacceptable, as it not only violates ethical standards but can also lead to serious legal consequences.
"I am a man, responsible for protecting my family. The feeling of a man seeing his wife and children hurt, his family suffering, is something I believe Trung Quan doesn't want to experience, I don't want to experience, and no one wants to experience, because it's terrible. If my wife is in pain, I'm in ten times more pain; if she's panicked, I'm ten times angrier. Because it creates the feeling that I can't protect my wife, I can't protect my family," this person shared.
He also stated that he accepted Trung Quan Idol 's apology at his wife's request. "I haven't forgotten this incident, but I think there's no need to dwell on it anymore. Previously, the singer of "Dấu mưa" (Rainy Mark) was accused of assaulting doctor Nguyen Linh Thuy in the early morning of April 21st after consuming alcohol, causing injuries to the victim's face and hands, and leaving her in a state of panic. The doctor's husband stated that he had collected evidence, extracted camera footage, and documented the incident, reporting it to the authorities for clarification. He also posted an image allegedly showing an apology message from Trung Quan Idol, but affirmed that he did not accept the apology and wished to handle the matter according to the law .
On April 22nd, Trung Quân Idol personally went to the female doctor's workplace to apologize. Afterward, he posted an apology on his personal page, apologizing for "bothering everyone" over the past few days with the negative information related to him. He explained that he removed the previous apology post because he wanted to wait for an opportunity to meet and apologize directly to the person he had assaulted.
"First, I would like to thank Dr. Thuy for taking the time to meet and allow me to apologize in person for the unintentional incident. I sincerely regret my actions and acknowledge my mistake. I humbly apologize to Dr. Thuy, Mr. Pham Minh Truong, and his family. I also earnestly wish to meet Mr. Truong in person to apologize for the inconvenience he and his family have experienced over the past few days. I am truly grateful for Dr. Thuy's understanding and forgiveness," the singer shared.
Despite apologizing and receiving forgiveness from the victim, this scandal has negatively impacted Trung Quân's image in the eyes of the public. Amidst the controversy, a concert featuring the male singer was canceled "to ensure the quality of the event and provide the best possible experience for the audience."
