Sharing with us, Nguyen Thi Trinh said that her opportunity to play the role in " That Summer" came from the film's casting call. At that time, the 10X beauty went through three rounds of casting. For her, this was a chance to challenge herself, learn more about the character, and showcase her own personality.
"Because there were quite a few other contestants, I was really happy and felt it was a lucky opportunity when I was chosen to play Ly. This is also my first television role, so I cherish this opportunity even more and try to prepare as seriously as possible," the beauty revealed.
For Nguyen Thi Trinh, the character Ly in the film has quite a few differences from her in real life. On the small screen, the actress has to portray an extroverted, energetic girl who is proactive in expressing her emotions. But in everyday life, the 10X beauty admits that she is quiet and introverted. However, this difference is precisely what makes her character so interesting to embody.
"I researched Ly's psychology and circumstances, and tried to put myself in her shoes to understand why she acted and felt that way. For me, the most important thing is not to try to act, but to truly understand Ly so that the character becomes as natural as possible," she expressed.
